Sharon Clayton-Bovill Head Of Sales, Edme Ltd
I started my milling career at E Timm & Sons Limited, and worked for them for approximately 7 years, starting in the laboratory and then progressing on to the technical side of the business. I've studied four of the nabim correspondence courses, Hygiene Health and Safety, Wheat and the screenroom, Materials Handling Storage and Distribution and Flour.
My other qualifications include, BTEC Breadmaking Technology and Management (Thomas Danby Leeds); HNC Food Science and Technology (Grimsby University). I was also very fortunate during my time at Timms to be awarded a scholarship from the BSB (British Society Of Baking)
I moved from Timms to EDME Limited in September 2000 as a Technical Sales Manager and held the position for 12 months before being promoted to Head Of Sales, which is my current position. I have recently completed a course at Cranfield University "Empowering Women Managers" and will complete my final week at Cranfield University on another programme "The Advanced Development Programme" at the end of May 03.
My position today at Edme Limited as Head of Sales makes me responsible for the whole of the sales and the sales team, reporting directly to the MD. I am also the President of the Hull & District Flour Milling Society, which is a society that has been running for many years.
